Conversion of Raquets Court at Astley, Worcestershire

Conversion of former racquets court adjacent to the Dower House of Astley Hall, Worcestershire built by Stanley Baldwin 20th century Prime Minister. His family were ironmasters in Dudley and the external structure of the building which has been conserved was formed from rendered corrugated iron supported on an oak frame held at the base in cast iron shoes on a cast iron wallplate. The building has been converted into a family home with a side extension and conservatory.
