St. Andrews Church, Eastern Green Coventry

Re-ordering and access project. This included the removal of pews at the front and rear of the nave, to increase and provide space adjacent to the chancel, for weddings and baptisms. The area has been raised to remove the bottom step of the chancel, and ramped access has been placed between the pews from the rear entrance. The font has been moved from the rear of the church, so that there is better visibility for the congregation. The new front row of seating is made up of removeable chairs so that worshipers is wheelchairs can sit at the front with their families. Further pews have been removed at the back of the church to create a coffee area, for the use after services. A new disabled access toilet has been provided off the choir vestry. We carry out the Quinquennial inspection for this very interesting Victorian church.
