Warwick University Reinvention Centre

The Reinvention Centre is in the Faculty of Education and is an experimental teaching and learning space suitable for large and small groups. It is a classroom without desks and was funded by the Higher Education Funding Council as a Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning Initiative. Prof M Neary described it as a room designed for movement and play, maybe for lectures, maybe for group work and making interaction between students and lecturers less hierarchical.
The space has controlled natural ventilation, rooflights to increase natural lighting, flexible lighting, architectural acoustic panels to reduce reverberation noise, blackout blinds to windows, heated rubber flooring, audio-visual facilities, and sustainable materials ie paint and flooring.
